Resources on Campus and Nearby

The Dialogue and Difference program at George Mason University is aimed at building a stronger campus community through dialogues around difficult and controversial issues. The Peer Mediation Mentorship Program in CAR helps students improve their mediation and communication skills through working with others at Mason and in the surrounding communities.

George Mason University’s affiliation with the Northern Virginia Mediation Service provides an excellent opportunity for students to receive mediation training and certification.  The University Dispute Resolution Project at Mason provides students the opportunity to use practical conflict resolution skills within the university community.

CAR students can take advantage of the vibrant cultural life of the Washington, D.C. area.  The resources of the nation’s capital make it an ideal location for students with an interest in government or international and intercultural relations.  The area offers numerous lectures, conferences, exhibits, and film festivals on topics relative to conflict and its resolution.
